Riveted Left Inboard Top Skin
Jaime was kind enough today to come out to the garage and help me start riveting the top skins onto the left wing. As usual, she shot and I bucked. Here she is demonstrating the proper riveting technique. Also notice the dart board on the back wall that has been off-limits since the wing jig went up. :-)
And here's a shot of the inboard skin riveted on. The funny thing was that we riveted the first rib (in the center of the skin) and then I realized that we hadn't inserted the wing walk doubler!!!! Luckily it was no big deal whatsoever to peel the skin back a little and slide it in there. Very close call! That would have been a major rivet drilling session!
