Wing Cradle; Pulled Wings From Jigs; Disassembled Wing Jigs
Well, it's been a while since I've updated the site. That doesn't mean that I haven't done anything on the project. I've mainly been working on mondane tasks.
Last weekend, however, we drove to Virginia to visit family. Of course, I was thinking the whole time about how much faster it's going to be to fly there once the airplane is finished.
Yesterday I started building the rolling wing cradle you see above and tonight I finally finished it and got the wings out of the jigs. I *had* to take a picture of this. For me, this is one of the milestones of the project.
Then came the ceremonial tearing down of the wing jig posts!
And tada...the garage is an absolute mess and I have these 9ft long poles that I need to do something with. Hmm...
Tomorrow I'm definately going to have to clean the garage to get Jaime's car back in here. It's been freezing here lately...in the teens...which isn't often in Georgia.
