Dimpled Right Aileron Leading Edge Skin
Yesterday my parents came over to the house and stayed the night so I didn't get anything done on the project. Today my dad came out and helped me with dimpling the leading edge skins of the ailerons. It's a bit tricky because the dimple dies tend to flatten the material as they create the dimple, and the radius of the skin gets flattened with the dimple dies. I wasn't very happy with how this came out, and the plans make no mention of how to do this better.
I really don't understand why they use flush rivets here, it's not like you can even see them when the ailerons are mounted and rigged. Oh well, I'm following the plans here, 'cause I'm sure there's probably a reason (clearance??) that they use flush rivets here. I'm going to try to figure how to clean up this part or I'm going to order a new nose skin.
