Finished Riveting Bulkheads
This morning I went to the EAA chapter 690 breakfast. It was nice out and there were quite a few airplanes that flew in, including a couple of local RV flyers. Afterward, Jaime and I went all over town having lunch with friends and buying carpet. Finally...we're getting rid of the ugly green carpet that you see sometimes on this website.
Anyways, I digress. When I finally got home I started working on the 705 bulkhead. I bolted in the spacers on the ends and riveted on the seat back adjustment points.
Then I worked on the other bulkheads, riveting them together and putting in snap bushings. The 705 was the most complicated and I took my time to make sure I got it right.
Here's the bottom center of the 705 mentioned above. You can see that the vertical member is not riveted yet. I guess they have you leave that out so you can get to the back of the airplane to rivet skins, etc.
