More Aft Fuse Riveting
Today I had a short rehearsal to attend...we got out a little early so I called Burton and asked him if he could come over for a little while and help me rivet some on the aft fuse. He came over and we shot about 50 or so rivets. Here you can see where we started riveting the right lower stringer to the skin.
Also, you may be able to tell here that the wrinkle that was causing oil canning has been greatly reduced...it's still there so I'll probably end up adding a stiffener...but anyway...you get the point. The bottom is now almost completely free of rivets...although it seems like there are thousands remaining on the sides.
Burton has promised to come over tomorrow and help again. We should have about 4 hours or so of work that we can get done...maybe we can make huge major progress on the aft fuse...hopefully.
