Drilled Aft Deck
Not much work on the project today, as the day was filled with driving across town to the dentist, getting some major (ok, major for me) dental work done, taking Jaime's car to the shop to get her A/C fixed, going to Orchestra rehearsal, etc. I did manage to make it out to the shop for about an hour and I drilled the aft deck to the longerons and spacers.
I was having quite a difficult time getting the fuselage perfectly level and I couldn't figure out why. I would level the 704, then level the tail...then go back to the 704 and it would be off again...but how could that be???? The 704 is sitting on the sawhorse and isn't going anywhere! Well, the problem was that my goofy level was off. I would turn the level around 180 degrees and it would read differently! So, during my running around today I swung into the hardware store to pickup a decent level...and yes...I checked it in the store both ways to make sure it read OK. A good thing too, 'cause the 704 wasn't actually level.
