Engine Bolt Washers; Wiring
Today I decided to get the requisite number of washers on the engine bolts. The rubber mounts compress as you tighten them down and there's a bushing between the two spacers that's around the bolt. You basically tighten down the nut until the two halves of the mount are compressing on the bushing. You have to ensure that they're compressed on the bushing and be certain that the nut is not catching on the shank of the bolt. Strangely the bolt you see here (upper right looking from cockpit) required 4 washers on the left one required 2. Weird. Now that all of the bolts, nuts and washers are in place I'm ready to torque these things. I need to get a crow's foot for my torque wrench though.
Ok...more wiring stuff. I ran the wires from the main bus to the e-bus bridge rectifier diode to the main bus. It took a little while to figure out which terminal to connect the main bus to. I'm obviously going to test this stuff with my multimeter before I flip that e-bus switch for the first time.
