Ignition Penetrations; Misc FWF
Jaime, my inspiration and chief organizer, came out with me today to the airport to help me find all my stuff. Thanks Jaime for the huge help! I worked on the plane a good bit -- I got the ignition penetrations installed. I have been struggling a little with where to bring the right one in and this is what I finally came up with.
And here are the left wires.
I took this picture to illustrate the penetration of the fuel line. Yes, I still need to RTV the edges of the baffling.
Ok, this is a really crummy picture. I finally got the restrictor fitting for the oil pressure transducer line installed. My engine has multiple places you can install it. The plans call out the hole here that's facing the vibration mount. I confirmed that it's perfectly acceptable to pick up the oil pressure at the aft-facing hole which is what I did. To make this happen I had to remove the left mag (again). I decided it would be no big deal since the left mag timing was all out of whack anyway. So anyway...if you're a dummy like me and you have a Superior case, just remove the right mag and install the restrictor fitting in the aft-facing port. 'Nuff said.
Ok, what is this white thing? Well, yesterday I honestly thought I was having a heat stroke. After several hours worth of work I couldn't concentrate anymore and I realized that even though I was burning up, I wasn't sweating. Uh oh...not good. So today when I came out I made sure to bring my big-arse floor fan and Jaime and I went by the store and bought a mini-fridge and stocked it with water.
