This weekend we went up to Roanoke, VA to see Jaime's family for Easter. It was a beautiful, easy flight up and a little more challenging on the way back (HUGE headwind, very bumpy, etc). It was my first time taking N622JP into a Class C airport. It was no big deal, but after landing the tower asked me twice "Now, what kind of airplane is that?"
Anyway, here are some pics going up. This is the southern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains from 9500.
Another picture. The airplane is performing great. I have a couple of squawks. I have a CHT probe that's about the go on Cylinder #2 and I can't quite get my Trio to track without wagging the wings a little. Other than that, I have absolutely no problems with the airplane.
