First order of business today was to finish trimming the rudder stiffeners and making sure they fit. I clecoed the AEX wedge onto the rudder to make sure I had trimmed the stiffeners sufficiently.
Another view of the stiffeners. These things are a little tedious and annoying, but oh well...they're definately necessary. I can't imagine how many of these are in the wing control surfaces, but I guess that's just something I shouldn't think about right now!
Here are all the stiffeners clecoed to the skins ready for drilling.
Ok, they've all been drilled. This is the interesting thing about this airplane project. You'll spend quite a while doing something (like this match-drilling thing) and you'll not be able to discern any noticeable difference. Then you'll spend an hour squeezing rivets and put together an entire piece.
