Fabricated Tank Stiffeners
Today was normal sunday stuff (church, etc) and then early dinner with the in-laws but in the evening I was able to get out and work on the tank stiffners a bit.
The tank stiffeners go span-wise on the bottom of the tanks only. They come in long pieces of angle with pre-punched holes as guides. These are very simple to 'fabricate'.
First you cut them down...
Oh yeah...here are the guides for the holes. Basically what you do is cut from the 'cross' to the semi-circular holes. This leaves you with one side perpendicular to the edge on the other side at an angle...much easier to do than to explain.
Here are all the stiffeners cut and deburred.
Here's a close-up of what you get.
Gotta place my order and get my drill bits. Man, I'm motivated but this summer has been incredibly busy. Gotta free up some more time to work on this thing.
