MEK'd Wing Skins For Priming
Today I went out and cleaned the bottom skins for priming. For priming the wing skins, I'm scuffing them with a maroon scotch-brite pad, then cleaning the parts with MEK until there is no more black aluminum dust coming off the part. The process of wiping the dust takes a while. The scuffing and actual shooting of primer are actually not that bad...but this MEK...well...just sucks.
Tomorrow morning is the EAA 690 breakfast at LZU and a bunch of RV'ers are supposed to show up, so I may get an RV ride. The local RV'ers have been great about offering (I don't even have to ask) me a ride to keep me motivated. I can't wait to be able to return the favor.
Also, be sure to check out the decisions page (updated today) for info on some instrument panel concepts I'm currently experimenting with.
