Installed Left Aileron Bellcrank; Started Fuselage Construction!
Today I installed the bellcrank and long pushrod in the left wing. I'm still waiting for the extra bearing that I had to order 'cause I got shorted one and didn't catch it in the inventory, so that's really all I can do on the wings until then. Also note the torque seal on the nuts.
Thus starts the fuselage contruction in earnest. First order of business was I decided to start on the firewall. Here I am cleaning the label gue off the firewall. It's kind of odd to me that Van's sees fit to label the firewall...I mean....it's not like there's another big firewall shaped piece of stainless steel in the entire airplane!
Then I gathered the parts and the plans for the firewall. There are quite a bit of angles, etc. on this thing.
