Drilled Left Reinforcement Web
Today I went out and fit the left gear leg web. Same as yesterday...just a different side. Only had about an hour and a half tonight to spend on the project.
Toby joined me in the garage as is his usual practice these days. Here he is keeping watch on the neighbors playing basketball while I'm drilling.
Don't know if I've mentioned this yet, but Jaime's going to San Diego next week and I'm taking a week of vacation. My original thought when taking the vacation was that I may could get a ride to OSH, but that didn't work out this year because the empty seat(s) I usually occupy are filled with wives. Burton, my frequent riveting helper mentioned elsewhere on this page, also took some vacation next week for the very same reason I did. He also had the same luck getting a ride as me so he's offered to come over a little next week and help me out. I need to look ahead some more in the plans, but I believe I'm about ready to start tearing this stuff apart and start the whole deburring/dimpling/priming routine.
Oh...speaking of priming...it looks like I'm going to be using a SW self-etching aerosol primer on the cabin parts...since it's compatible with the interior paint I'm planning on using...we'll see though. Until tomorrow...
