Finished Dimpling Side Skins, Firewall
Today I finished dimpling and deburring the right skin. I still need to drill out the 1-inch diameter hole for the rubber grommet for the fuel line...I'll do that tomorrow.
Next I moved onto the firewall. I had previously deburred all the holes except the ones on the flange.
..and now the flanges are deburred and dimpled. I still need to countersink the longerons, stiffeners and firewall angle a little more for the thickness of the dimples on the .040 and .032 bottom and side skins. Hopefully I can do this tomorrow and also start prepping all this stuff to get it primed. I'll probably shoot the primer on Wednesday and start reassembling the fuse. I have sort of an arbitrary goal of flipping the fuselage this weekend. I think if I can get my help out I should be able to make it...we'll see.
