More Cabin Platenut Stuff
Not much done on the project today...it was pretty much a whole day w/ Jaime riding bikes over to the park, etc. Lots of fun. I did manage to come out and set some more platenuts that I hadn't set yet. Let me tell you..there are a lot of screws in these airplanes..and when you make you baggage floors removeable there is an enourmous amount of screws in the airplane!
I also drilled out these holes along the side skin and the outter-seat ribs. I may have missed something...but the plans don't ever tell you when to drill these out. Since I'm installing platenuts/nutplates/anchor nuts/whatever in there it's going to get very interesting setting those rivets. I dread it, honestly...but hopefully it won't be bad. I may end up using MK-319BS pop-rivets if it gets too difficult. Pop-rivets are perfectly acceptable to use in platenuts since the rivets don't serve a purpose other than to hold the platnut while the screw/bolt goes in there. Anyway...we'll see what happens.
