Wing Sweep Down To 0.15
Today I continued with trying to get the wing sweep to nil. I started by elevating the lateral string off the floor. This makes it much straighter. Should have thought of that sooner, since that's what carpenters do.
You can see here that I still have some sweep. There's a little parallax error in this image...and the measurement is really closer to 0.15 off (van's says .5 is good...but why not get it perfect if I can?). This was after Jaime helped me pull the left wing out a little and I ground down the rear forward attach point (on fuse) because it was interfering with the wing rib flange. Jaime also helped me measure from the wing spar to the aft fuse and the right wing is farther forward than the left...so I'm going to grind down the right rear spar stub a little more so I can bring it a little farther back. That won't happen until tomorrow. It's late...gotta go to bed.
