Com Antenna Lead; Mounting H-Stab
I've been working like a dog lately (day job)...more than 12 hours a day is not fun. Anyway...tonight I got home a little earlier and went out to the garage to mess around with the project. I had previously wired my com antenna but then I decided that I really made it a little short, so I pulled it back out and reused that lead for the tranponder. So tonight I made another lead for the com antenna. I'm still not certain about this penetration point. I made just use the smallest possible snap bushing and take it along the rib, under the pushrods and directly though the center section.
I also noticed that two of my disecant plugs are turning a little pink. I need to pull them out and dry them in the oven...but it apparantly takes a little while and it's already too late tonight.
So I decided to mount the horizontal stab. I hadn't done this previously and I really need it and the vertical stab in place so I can do some of the wiring for the trim servo, lights, etc. I have everything in position but I'm gonna sleep on it tonight and check it again tomorrow to make sure I like the fit. Boy...my empennage work is really not that great. I think my skills have improved quit a bit since then.
