Alternator Failure Light; Vent Tubing Installed
Today I had some non-rv stuff to do but I did make it out to get a couple of things done. BTW: My goal from now on is to have an update every single day unless I'm out of town or something. Anyway...I decided to go ahead and install an alternator failure light so I went ahead and bought one yesterday from aircraft spruce (I get everything next day if I ship ground and they ship from their 'East' location (which is just south of Atlanta). I decided to install an amber one. Why not red? Well, I'm color blind and I don't see reds very well. I often have trouble seeing red on lights especially if it's in daylight so I went with amber which I have no problem seeing. This is one of the great things about building my own airplane -- it's MY airplane and I only have to build it to my liking.
Anyway...this was no big deal except it required soldering. I'm such a fan of crimping but my soldering skills have definitely improved since I started this project.
I also installed the cat tubing from the NACA inlets to the vents. You can sort of see the tubing through this open vent.
