Downwind w/ Mike
Ok, this may be one of the worst pictures I have on this website but it's all I've got right now. One of those little lights is Mike Stewart leaving the airport in his super-8 (rv-8 w/ an IO-540). Mike flew in and gave me a lot of pointers on things to do. He's one of the fastest builders out there and has a get-r-done attitude. After asked if I wanted to go and grab dinner at the Downwind Restaurant. Sure...I can't turn down an opportunity to go and fly! On the way down he showed me the proper way to do roll and we did about 10 or so. It's soooooooo much fun and I'm really glad I built the -7A over the -9A for this very reason. I'll enjoy turning people upside down like that.
Thanks, Mike for the inspirational ride...I needed it.
I did get a couple of things done at the hangar...I got some more of the aileron pushrod bolts installed. I want to get all of the wing bolts firmly in place before I get too many of the pushrods bolted...so the wing bolt nuts will definitely be my next task.
