Last night Jaime and I drove down to Sandersville for transition training. Pierre is actually based out of Louisville, but the usual hotel he recommends was booked solid so we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sandersville. I would highly recommend that hotel if you come down for training. It's about a 25 minute drive to the Louisville airport, but the hotel is nice and clean. I've stayed in hotels in small towns for my day job and generally they're crummy, but I was pleasantly surprised. Here Jaime snapped this photo of me and Pierre loading up.
...and gone! Jaime made me laugh when she said "sorry I didn't get a good picture, but that's a fast plane!"
We didn't get done. Insurance is requiring 5 hours and we got in 4, but Pierre and I have already set up a day where he's going to fly to Winder to finish me up there. That will actually be better because it gives me a little more time flying out of Winder and one last chance to get emergency landing fields, etc.
